That global warming is an issue that will have devastating impact both us and the posterity is true. That we should focus all our efforts on global warming is debatable
The fact of the matter is that I see global warming as a mere symptom. It is an effect of increased human population on earth. Greatest polluters harbor biggest populations. Or biggest populations depend on greatest polluters for industrial supplies--survival. It follows then that if we are at all being genuine about global warming we should concern ourselves with convening international fora to discuss how we should curb human population increase. Since we are not doing so, then we are not being serious, genuine.
Ergo, in lieu of another Copenhagen, we should deal with more acute, ugly, pressing issues we face today.
